A series of hero films produced for Glencore and their Health and Safety spotlight.

Filming in Canada, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Switzerland and Zambia, these are a series of films made for the mining company Glencore.

​

These films are the Hero films, focusing on one particular worker and learning why they work safe and who they are away from the mine; daughters of miners who love to bake, football presidents who run the local (national league) team; mothers, fathers.

​

I was originally commissioned to make five hero films, but when we discovered that the Zambian National Rugby team captain was also training at the Mopani Centre to become a miner, we added a sixth!

These films are linked to the longer HSEC films, which add in additional voices and go into detail about the new training developments and technologies.
