In the aftermath of a bomb explosion every second counts and every action can help save a life.

Our biggest challenge was to make a currently closed terminal appear like it’s open and busy, and then to make it appear like a Person-Borne Improvised Explosive Device Detection had gone off and damaged it.

Filmed in a closed Heathrow Terminal 4 over three days, we had a team of 32 crew, 12 actors, 25 Stunt & Specialist Support Artists and over 200 Support Artists to dress and fill the terminal.
After rehearsing and filming a pre-explosion “normality” 10 minute sequence (across 22 CCTV cameras), we had 3 hours to redress the terminal to create the post explosion environment. We also put most of our onscreen talent through a quick make up, VFX and wardrobe change to sell the situation.

There is also an 8 minute drama that focuses on what a general member of staff can do to help save lives and how quick actions and a strong nerve can really make a difference.
